Job summary

Gulf Coast Automation Group seeks an IT Security Engineer II to strengthen cybersecurity across enterprise systems, cloud environments, and sensitive data. You will design, implement, and lead incident response initiatives while partnering with infrastructure, application, and business teams to improve security operations.

The role emphasizes cloud and on-prem security, regulatory alignment (HIPAA/NIST), and a rotating on-call schedule, with a hybrid work model and a clear path for security

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years cybersecurity experience as a Security Analyst or Engineer.
• Experience leading cybersecurity projects and cross-functional initiatives.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex cybersecurity incident investigations, response, and recovery.
• Identify threats and remediation strategies across on-prem and cloud environments.
• Architect and enhance enterprise security technologies and processes.
• Administer, monitor, and optimize multiple security platforms.
• Drive automation of security operations to reduce risk and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate with IT and business leaders to promote security awareness.
