Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Security Engineer II to secure cloud and hybrid environments, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and incident response. The role emphasizes cloud security baselines, vulnerability management, and identity controls within private, public, and hybrid systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on cybersecurity/security engineering experience.
• Strong Microsoft Azure security experience with Defender for Cloud.
• Experience with Sentinel or comparable SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of RBAC, Conditional Access, vulnerability management, EDR, and incident response.
• Understanding of Windows/Linux, networking, and Microsoft 365 security.
• Healthcare/regulated industry experience and security certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Azure security baselines and Defender for Cloud.
• Support Azure RBAC, Conditional Access and privileged access controls.
• Monitor alerts/logs using SIEM platforms like Microsoft Sentinel.
• Investigate alerts and participate in incident response and remediation.
• Support vulnerability management, scanning and patch coordination.
• Manage security tech including EDR, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM tools.
• Contribute to security reviews for applications, systems and cloud workloads.
• Assist with security auditing, compliance reporting, and documentation.
• Communicate security risks and remediation with technical teams.
