Job summary

Trystar is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer in Minnesota to join a dynamic team focused on safeguarding electrical power solutions. Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on cybersecurity engineering in enterprise environments.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender, Entra ID, Intune, Sentinel, and M365 Security.
• Experience leading or participating in incident response activities.
• Experience implementing identity and access management controls.
• Experience with vulnerability management and remediation processes.
• Strong understanding of cyber security frameworks and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead cybersecurity incident detection, investigation, containment, remediation, and recovery.
• Serve as the primary technical resource during security incidents.
• Develop incident response playbooks and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal/external partners during investigations.
• Conduct threat hunting and root-cause analyses.
• Improve security monitoring and alerting capabilities.
• Own identity security controls across Entra ID and AD.
• Lead MFA, PIM, and passwordless authentication initiatives.
• Secure endpoints with Defender and Intune, enforce least privilege.
• Manage security dashboards, SIEM, and governance metrics.
• Oversee vulnerability management and remediation efforts.
• Design secure architectures across cloud, network, and apps.
