Job summary

Itron is seeking an Information Security Specialist to help develop and implement a comprehensive Cyber Security Program across corporate and managed services units. You will deploy technical controls to protect confidential information and customer data within globally distributed energy systems.

Responsibilities include incident response support, security technology reviews, and participation in SOC projects with Azure and Defender products; you will develop tools and reports to detect policy

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of information security technologies.
• Minimum 3 years of experience on the OPS side, e.g.: Technical support, System admin etc.
• Can-do attitude and the will to share knowledge as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented mindset and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution.
• Some experience with O365 and Azure.
• A strong desire to strive to do things better.

Responsibilities

• You will support the implementation of a Cyber Security Program including recommending necessary solutions, controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard globally distributed energy systems.
• You will provide second-level support and analysis during and after a security incident.
• Review security technologies, tools, and services, and make recommendations to the broader security team.
• Conduct incident response exercises with colleagues throughout the organization and incorporate lessons learned into existing security practices.
• Conduct forensic analysis of security-related incidents in a manner consistent with guidance from the organization's counsel, human resources, or law enforcement, as the case may be.
• Assist and lead security system administration and management of security tools including ITSM tickets through ServiceNOW.
• You will participate in information security projects, SOC Services, EDR, SIEM, Azure and Microsoft Defender products.
• Develop tools, utilities, and reports to detect, alert and report on security issues and policy violations.
