Job summary

The Cybersecurity Engineer serves as the primary cybersecurity resource for the i3 Broadband and is responsible for advancing the security of the organization's infrastructure, systems, applications, endpoints, identities, and data. Reporting to the IT Infrastructure Manager, this position balances cybersecurity program coordination with hands-on technical execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, IS, Network Engineering or related field.
• 3 to 5+ years in cybersecurity, network operations, infrastructure administration, IT support, SOC operations, or related role.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or CySA+, Microsoft security certs, Fortinet certs valued.

Responsibilities

• Provide cybersecurity engineering guidance to IT leadership and stakeholders.
• Monitor security tools, alerts, logs, threat intel, and manage incident response.
• Administer vulnerability scanning, assess vulnerabilities, and coordinate remediation.
• Partner with Infrastructure/Network/Software teams to implement security configurations.
• Support audits, risk assessments, and security awareness activities.
