Job summary

Heartland Business Systems is seeking an experienced security professional to lead incident response services for our clients. The role includes analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery, plus forensic work and malware analysis as part of investigations.

You will perform security assessments, design and deploy solutions, and collaborate with the Practice Manager to develop new offerings. Occasional on-call and billable targets apply.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related IT experience.
• 3+ years of AD and Azure experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Maintain an outcome focused mindset.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Team player with professional attitude.

Responsibilities

• Lead Incident Response cases from start to finish, including consulting and remediation.
• Perform forensic analysis to identify evidence during investigations.
• Serve as a Virtual Security Engineer (vSE) for customers.
• Advise on and deploy security solutions; conduct security assessments.
• Collaborate with Practice Manager to develop new offerings.
• Provide design assistance and optimization of security technologies.
• Mentor other staff and participate in on-call for 24x7 IR.
• Meet annual billable hour goal.
