Job description

As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, implementing, and maintaining our organization's cyber security infrastructure. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, from threat detection and incident response to security architecture and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, deploy, and manage cyber security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), endpoint protection, and security information and event management (SIEM) platforms.
  • Conduct security assessments and penetration tests to identify vulnerabilities in our systems, applications, and networks, and recommend remediation measures.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and analyze security logs, alerts, and incidents to detect and respond to security threats and breaches in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security controls into the development lifecycle of new systems and applications.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to IT teams on security-related issues, including secure configuration management and patch management.
  • Stay current with emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, and security technologies, and recommend strategies to mitigate risks and enhance our security posture.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security+) preferred.
  • Proven experience in cyber security roles, with hands‑on experience in designing, implementing, and managing security infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber security principles, technologies, and best practices, including network security, encryption, authentication, and access control.
  • Experience with security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, antivirus, and endpoint detection and response (EDR) solutions.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, PCI DSS) and their implications for security operations.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex security issues and recommend effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks based on risk and impact in a fast‑paced environment.
