Job summary

Banner Engineering in Minnesota seeks a Director of Cybersecurity to lead the organization’s information security program, protecting digital assets and operations globally. You will shape governance, risk management, security operations, vulnerability management, incident response, and security awareness across the enterprise.

Partner with IT/OT, business teams, and vendors to translate risk into practical controls, reporting to the VP of IT/OT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field.
• 7+ years in cybersecurity with leadership or program-management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise cybersecurity programs and risk-based improvements.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve Banner’s global cybersecurity program aligned with business objectives and risk.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and governance.
• Direct security operations: threat monitoring, event triage, investigations, incident response, and external coordination.
• Manage vulnerability-management program: identification, risk-based prioritization, remediation tracking, and executive escalation.
• Lead cybersecurity risk assessments for enterprise systems, cloud services, manufacturing, vendors, and new tech.
• Embed security requirements into projects with Infrastructure, Applications, Engineering, Manufacturing, Legal, HR, and business leaders.
• Oversee cybersecurity vendor relationships, MSSP contracts, and service-level expectations.
• Develop and report cybersecurity metrics, risk trends, and status to IT/OT leadership and executives.
• Lead, coach, and grow cybersecurity personnel and foster accountability and continuous improvement.
