Job summary

Wipfli is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant II to develop and deliver consultative and technical cybersecurity solutions that help clients identify risk, strengthen controls, and improve business processes and IT. You will manage portions of engagements, interact with clients, and work under senior guidance.

The role requires engineering security tests, vulnerability assessments, social engineering services, and ongoing knowledge of cybersecurity trends. Travel up to 20% may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in information security, cybersecurity, information technology, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• At least one year of relevant work experience in a professional services firm, or three or more years in private industry focused on cybersecurity or related tech area.
• Experience and interest in social engineering exercises (OSINT, phishing, pretext calling, physical pen test).
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure including networks, cloud and SaaS environments, virtualization, storage, and TCP/IP networking.

Responsibilities

• Execute security and risk consulting engagements, including social engineering, security assessments, and vulnerability testing services.
• Perform vulnerability assessments of networks, devices, applications, and cloud configurations.
• Coordinate engagement activities with clients and prepare reports for management.
• Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity trends and apply to client circumstances.
• Mentor junior staff and support sales opportunities with insights.
