Job summary

Wipfli LLP in Minneapolis is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant II to develop and deliver security solutions that identify risk, strengthen controls, and improve IT processes. You will manage engagement portions, work with clients, and collaborate with senior team members.

Responsibilities include executing security assessments, conducting vulnerability testing, performing social engineering exercises, and mentoring junior staff while contributing to service development and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in information security, cybersecurity, information technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least one year in professional services or three+ years in private industry focused on cybersecurity.
• Experience and interest in social engineering exercises including OSINT, phishing, pretext calling, and pen tests.
• Working knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, networks, and security controls.
• Willingness to pursue additional certifications relevant to the role.

Responsibilities

• Execute security and risk engagements, including social engineering, security assessments, and vulnerability testing.
• Perform vulnerability assessments of networks, devices, applications, and cloud configurations.
• Conduct social engineering services (open-source intel, phishing simulations, pretext calls, physical pen tests).
• Link client requirements to standard cybersecurity solutions with guidance from seniors.
• Coordinate activities with clients; test, analyze results, identify risks, and present findings.
• Oversee work segments and document explanations clearly for project records.
• Inform leaders of costs, quality, schedule, and scope risks; monitor time and budgets.
• Maintain knowledge of cybersecurity trends and apply it to client contexts.
• Pursue continuing education and relevant certifications; mentor junior staff.
