Job summary

Kind Lending in Irvine, CA is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to identify, analyze, and respond to security threats across on-premises and cloud environments. You will monitor events, investigate incidents, and coordinate response to minimize business impact, while balancing security with business needs.

Collaborate with IT, DevOps, and business teams to strengthen controls, support audits, and drive risk-based improvements.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in information security, CS, or related field.
2–5 years in cybersecurity operations, SOC, or IT security.
Hands-on experience with SIEM and endpoint security tools.
Knowledge of networking concepts, OS, and cloud environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

Security Monitoring and Incident Response: monitor alerts, investigate incidents, document findings and remediation steps.
Threat Detection and Vulnerability Management: analyze logs, identify suspicious activity, track remediation.
Governance, Risk, and Compliance Support: assist audits, vendor risk reviews, maintain policies and procedures.
Awareness and Collaboration: advise internal teams on security best practices and collaborate with DevOps.
Rational decision making and clear communication in a regulated environment.
