Job summary

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to join the IT team and perform advanced red team engagements across networks, apps, and supporting infrastructure. The role focuses on adversary emulation, penetration testing, and improving defensive capabilities in collaboration with SOC, incident response, and engineering teams.

You will produce technical reports and executive summaries, lead red team exercises, and help develop policies, playbooks, and threat intel to strengthen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of operating systems, networking, Active Directory, application security, and scripting.
• Experience with offensive security, red team engagements, and threat emulation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and participate in red team assessments and penetration tests across networks, systems, apps, cloud, APIs and wireless infrastructure.
• Execute adversary emulation aligned with MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
• Identify gaps in detection and defense through multistage attack simulations and tabletop exercises.
• Collaborate with blue teams and SOC to enhance detection, response, and remediation.
• Produce detailed technical reports and executive summaries with remediation guidance.
