Job summary

Geronimo Power, LLC is seeking an IT Security Analyst Intern in Bloomington, MN for Summer 2027 to gain hands-on experience supporting cybersecurity operations, risk management, and compliance across our growing power and digital infrastructure projects.

The role provides exposure to security monitoring, incident response, and security best practices while collaborating with the IT Security team to protect corporate systems and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong interest in cybersecurity, information security, and technology risk management.
• Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, including access management and vulnerabilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work in a collaborative environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist IT Security team with monitoring security alerts, investigating threats, and documenting findings.
• Support vulnerability management activities, tracking and validating remediation of weaknesses.
• Review user access permissions, security configurations, and compliance-related controls across systems and cloud platforms.
• Participate in cybersecurity awareness, incident response, and risk management initiatives by gathering data and supporting projects.
• Research emerging cybersecurity tools, threats, and best practices and provide recommendations.
