City of Cleveland is seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to design and implement citywide security measures, conduct risk analyses, and oversee security policy adherence across departments. The role includes managing incident reporting, delivering security training, and coordinating awareness efforts citywide.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in a related field, 2 years of security experience, and strong knowledge of encryption, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and IAM principles.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2 years of full-time paid experience with configuration, monitoring, or security of network, internet, or email applications in Windows/Netware/Unix environments.
• Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License.
• Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
• Desired: Encryption, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, Web filtering, IT forensic analysis, and IAM; Security hardware and software products; Monitoring network and systems management; Web hosting; Microsoft Exchange Server.

Aufgaben

• Designs, develops, and implements security changes and enhancements to citywide IT environments.
• Conducts risk assessments and develops security standards and procedures.
• Oversees policy implementation and adherence for information security services.
• Manages the information security incident reporting program and resolves security violations.
• Delivers information security seminars and training to staff.
• Coordinates security awareness communication across the city.
• Performs security audits and reviews of city departments and related entities.
• Supports cloud security initiatives including Azure and Zero Trust.
