Job summary

Jobtailor in Idaho is seeking a cybersecurity professional to safeguard the organization's technology environment and lead security programs. You will manage identity and access, monitor threats, and coordinate incident responses while aligning with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience in cybersecurity or IT security.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field; substantial experience may substitute.
• CompTIA Security+ required within six months of hire.
• Equivalent industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications may be accepted.
• Knowledge of IAM, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, cloud security, incident response, security monitoring, and risk management.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 security technologies and other enterprise security tools.
• Fluency in English, spoken and written.
• Advanced mastery of Microsoft 365 and common enterprise tech tools.
• Ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Occasional travel and possible driver license requirements depending on needs.
• Meets background clearance requirements and other program/state clearances.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard the organization's technology environment by administering security technologies and reducing risk.
• Develop and deliver enterprise security awareness programs, including phishing simulations, training, and communications.
• Administer and optimize endpoint management and security technologies.
• Ensure secure device configuration, compliance, and access across the environment.
• Manage identity and access management services, including authentication and security policies.
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and coordinate remediation efforts.
• Support regulatory, legal, and organizational security requirements.
• Monitor threats and investigate security events.
• Coordinate incident response activities and optimize security monitoring technologies.

Job description

• Safeguard the organization's technology environment by administering security technologies, reducing cybersecurity risk, and promoting secure technology practices
• Develop and deliver enterprise security awareness programs, including phishing simulations, training, and communications
• Administer and optimize endpoint management and security technologies
• Ensure secure device configuration, compliance, and access across the technology environment
• Manage identity and access management services, including authentication, authorization, privileged access, and security policies
• Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments and coordinate remediation efforts
• Support compliance with regulatory, legal, and organizational security requirements
• Monitor threats and investigate security events
• Coordinate incident response activities and optimize security monitoring technologies
• Develop and maintain data protection, data loss prevention, and information security controls
• Support secure handling, classification, and monitoring of sensitive information
• Partner with Enterprise Applications, IT Operations, and business leaders to integrate cybersecurity best practices
• Continuously strengthen the organization's security posture

Requirements

• Four (4) years of related experience in cybersecurity, information security, systems administration, network administration, or a closely related information technology discipline
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; substantial relevant experience will be considered in place of a degree
• CompTIA Security+ certification required within six (6) months of hire
• Equivalent industry-recognized cybersecurity certifications may be accepted depending on organizational requirements
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, cloud security, incident response, security monitoring, and risk management
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 security technologies, endpoint security platforms, security monitoring tools, or comparable enterprise cybersecurity solutions
• Fluency in English, spoken and written
• Advanced mastery of Microsoft 365, business productivity applications, cybersecurity technologies, and common enterprise technology tools
• Resilience, sound judgment, and adaptability
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ability to complete tasks in a low to moderate noise environment
• Ability to perform work involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, and operating computer equipment
• Ability to move equipment and materials weighing up to 25 pounds
• Occasional travel between worksites
• Valid driver's license and motor vehicle records clearance may be required depending on business needs
• Meets LCSNW criminal background clearance requirements and other program- or state-required clearances
