Job summary

AIS seeks a Software Engineer focused on Computer Network Operations to join our CyberAI team, supporting platforms and microservices powering DoD customers. This hybrid role requires onsite 3 days/week and an active TS/SCI clearance.

You will design and develop backend services in Python, C/C++, Rust, and build modern web interfaces with JavaScript/TypeScript. You will apply security, analysis, and debugging skills across Linux/Unix environments and collaborate with DoD engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of software development experience or an equivalent combination.
• 2 years of professional software development experience with Python, C/C++, and/or Rust.
• Experience building Python-based backend apps, services, and APIs; frontend UI experience with JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Experience with static and dynamic analysis, software reverse engineering, testing, and Atlassian tools (Jira/Confluence/Crucible).
• Familiarity with REST APIs, client-server architectures, and Linux/Unix environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software applications.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python, including data processing and automation.
• Create web-based UI using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks.
• Develop software to support CNO capabilities and apply security concepts.
• Analyze software for vulnerabilities and debug low-level issues.
• Set up virtualized infrastructure for development, testing, and debugging.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate software and CNO capabilities.
