Assured Information Security (AIS) is seeking a Software Engineer focused on Computer Network Operations (CNO) to support the CyberAI team. You will work on platforms powering DoD mission-critical applications across multiple customers, with a hybrid schedule requiring 3 onsite days per week and an active TS/SCI clearance.

You will design, develop, test, and maintain software, building Python backends and APIs, and frontend interfaces with JavaScript/TypeScript.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
• 2 years of professional software development with Python, C/C++ and/or Rust.
• Experience developing Python backends, JS/TS frontends, and APIs.
• Experience with software analysis, testing, and Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Crucible).
• Knowledge of web architectures, REST APIs, and client-server models.
• Familiarity with secure development practices and debugging tools.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, document, test, debug, and maintain software applications.
• Develop backend services and APIs using Python for logic and data processing.
• Build frontend interfaces using JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
• Create software to support CNO capabilities and mission needs.
• Apply software security, networking, and system-architecture knowledge.
• Perform static and dynamic analysis to identify vulnerabilities.
• Debug low-level software and set up virtualized development/testing environments.
• Collaborate with engineers to integrate software and CNO capabilities.
