Job summary

engineeringjobs.net, Inc. is seeking a software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain backend Python services and JavaScript/TypeScript interfaces for mission-critical applications.

Candidates should have a BS in software, two years of relevant experience, and proven skills in Python, C/C++, and Rust, plus REST APIs and software analysis; TS/SCI clearance is required. Experience with Docker, GitLab, debugging, and OS internals is preferred. This is an on-site role in New York.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional software development with Python, C/C++, and/or Rust.
• Experience with backend and frontend development, software analysis, testing, and debugging; TS/SCI clearance required.

Job description

Design, develop, test, debug, and maintain software, including Python backend services and JavaScript/TypeScript web interfaces that support mission-critical applications and Computer Network Operations capabilities. Collaborate with engineers to analyze and secure software, integrate capabilities, and use virtualized environments for development, testing, and debugging.

Requirements: Requires a bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field plus two years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; also requires two years of professional software development experience with Python, C/C++, and/or Rust. Candidates should have experience with backend and frontend development, software analysis and reverse engineering, automated testing, Atlassian tools, debugging, CNO concepts, and Windows or Unix/Linux internals; an active TS/SCI clearance is required.
