IDS International seeks a Cyber Virtualization Engineer to design, deploy, and maintain advanced virtualized training environments for cyber exercises. You will work across IT/OT domains, integrating hypervisors, VMs, containers, and SDN, with automation and IaC driving provisioning and lifecycle management.

Travel up to 25% and a remote contract align with this hands-on role, requiring strong scripting, AI/ML familiarity, and security-conscious operations within multi-tenant infrastructures.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in cybersecurity, computer engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in cyber engineering, network operations, or cyber range development.
• Active Top Secret clearance; practical virtualization, containers and cloud tech experience.
• Hands-on with cyber offense/defense tools, scripting, automation, and IaC.
• Knowledge of AI/ML use in cyber and OT systems/protocols.

Aufgaben

• Build and run virtual training ranges that recreate large, adversarial IT/OT networks for cyber exercises.
• Set up hypervisors, VMs, containers and SDN across cloud, edge and hybrid environments.
• Automate asset setup, snapshots and lifecycle tasks with IaC and CI/CD workflows.
• Add simulated network traffic and user behavior; monitor, replay traffic and validate scaling.
• Secure virtual platforms and support exercise setup, troubleshooting and live scenario operations.
• Engineer scalable virtual environments using VMware ESXi, KVM/QEMU, Hyper‑V and OpenStack.
