Job summary

NewGen Technologies is seeking a Cyber Triage Analyst to serve as a frontline defender in federal cyber operations. You will perform initial threat triage, analyze indicators, and coordinate with government and private sector partners to assess risk and determine next steps.

The role requires US citizenship, TS/SCI clearance, and ability to obtain DHS suitability. You will work across locations with a focus on threat intelligence and incident response to protect critical infrastructure.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required
• TS/SCI Clearance required
• Ability to obtain DHS Suitability
• 3–5 years in threat intel, SOC, or incident response
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline or HS Diploma + 4+ years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Perform initial triage and assessment of cyber threat tickets and IOC submissions
• Analyze network artifacts, IPs, domains, file hashes, and malware indicators
• Assess threat severity, credibility, and potential impact to critical infrastructure
• Enrich IOCs with threat intel and OSINT resources
• Prepare concise triage reports with actionable recommendations
• Route tickets to appropriate teams and interagency partners
• Maintain documentation in ticketing systems and knowledge bases
• Contribute to shift handoffs and daily operational briefings
• Support development of triage playbooks and SOPs
• Monitor emerging threat campaigns and adversary activity
• Provide feedback on ticket status and outcomes
