Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Claims Consultant for Cyber and Technology claims in Naperville, IL. You will manage a caseload from inception to final disposition, including litigation, with responsibilities spanning investigations, coverage analysis, and liaison with counsel and clients.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years handling litigated cyber/tech, privacy, or professional liability, and hold a BA with a JD preferred. The role supports hybrid/remote work and collaboration with underwriting partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred.
• Minimum of three years handling litigated coverage and/or liability cases in Cyber & Technology, Privacy and Data Breaches, Media Liability and Professional Liability.
• Experience handling litigated matters through resolution and managing defense counsel.
• Knowledge of both first- and third-party claims is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations and evaluate information learned.
• Analyze coverage, liability and damages based on facts.
• Handle first- and third-party cyber/tech claims, coordinating with customers, law firms and vendors.
• Manage litigation, budgeting, and bill review; prepare reports for senior leadership.
• Attend trials/mediations and contribute to audits, projects and initiatives.
