Job summary

The Hartford is seeking a Claims Consultant to join its Cyber and Technology team. The role focuses on handling first party and third party Cyber and Technology claims from inception to final disposition, often in litigation, requiring coordination with defense counsel and timely resolutions.

Ideal candidates will have a JD or equivalent, a bachelor's degree, and at least three years' litigated claims experience, with strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills to drive outcomes and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required; Juris Doctorate preferred.
Minimum of three years handling litigated coverage and/or liability cases in Cyber & Technology, Privacy and Data Breaches, Media Liability and Professional Liability.
Proven track record in handling Cyber & Technology liability claims.

Responsibilities

Handle a caseload of first party and third party Cyber and Technology claims from inception to final disposition.
Investigate coverage, liability and damages based on case facts.
Coordinate with defense counsel and manage litigation through resolution.
Attend trials and mediations as necessary and present cases to management for authority.
Prepare reports and deliver presentations on case developments and industry trends.
