Lockheed Martin Space in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join the RAPT-2 Rapid Advanced Payload Test program. You will help shape cybersecurity for the program, focusing on RMF, vulnerability scanning, and patch management.

Responsibilities include coordinating patching and STIG-ing, developing cyber documentation, and supporting RMF artifacts; you will collaborate with engineers and security teams to strengthen mission systems while maintaining compliance and readiness.

Qualifications

• Experience with RMF and NIST 800-53-based security controls.
• Experience patching Windows 11, RHEL 8/9, and Linux distros.
• Experience STIG-ing Windows/Linux systems.
• Experience vulnerability scanning and remediation.
• Active US security clearance is required.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team supporting the RAPT-2 Rapid Advanced Payload Test #2. As a Cybersecurity Engineer you will play a critical role in shaping Cybersecurity for the program.

Basic Qualifications

• An understanding of Cyber Security implementations and Risk Management Framework (RMF) (NIST SP 800-53)
• Patching (Windows 11, RHEL 8 & 9, Linux distros)
• STIGing (Windows 11, RHEL 8 & 9, Linux distros)
• Scanning (Windows 11, RHEL 8 & 9, Linux distros)
• Active Security Clearance is required

Desired Skills

• MBSE using Cameo Systems Modeler or similar
• Strong understanding of System Security Engineering (SSE) principals and process.
• Advanced Understanding of Risk Management Frame Work (RMF) NIST SP 800-53
• Experience with Jira and Confluence for project planning and execution
• Previous experience in Missile Defense, Strike Weapons Systems, or similar

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
