Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space in Springfield, MO seeks a Cyber Security Engineer – Technical Lead to drive an interdisciplinary cyber team through the system lifecycle.

You’ll lead risk assessments, evaluate design constraints and architecture, and test hardware/software for compliance while applying robust cyber-security processes across programs.

Qualifications

  • Cyber risk assessment, threat modeling and vulnerability management.
  • Experience with security testing and system hardening.
  • Knowledge of RMF, NIST and DoD cyber requirements.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead cyber‑risk assessments: threat modeling, vulnerability analysis, mitigation design.

Key Responsibilities
  • POA&M work‑off planning & execution.
  • EVSS administration, vulnerability audits and remediation.
  • Define Body of Evidence (BoE) for change requests.
  • Create and run Demonstration Test Plans.
  • Investigate change requests and software builds.
  • Review COTS/GOTS software and assess risk.
  • Daily audit analysis and log reviews.
  • Develop IATT/CONOPS definitions and approvals.
  • Design security architecture and provide STIG hardening guidance.
  • Define, execute and report security testing (incl. gov‑witness tests).
  • Support government audits and security‑tool design.

Basic Qualifications
  • DOD 8570/8140 Certification.
  • Experience with Authorization and Accreditation processes using Risk Management Framework methodologies.
  • Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, policies, and procedures.
Desired Skills
  • Experience performing cybersecurity accreditation activities in support of software and system requirements, design, development, testing, and sustainment of approvals - Authority To Operate
  • Experience with NetBrain, Zenoss and Hewlett Packard Network Automation (HPNA)
  • Familiar with eMASS, HBSS, ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC), DISA STIGs
  • Experience with Secure Configuration/Hardening of DoD Information Systems
  • Experience with Intel Driven Threat Modeling, preferably classified Cyber Threat Intel Support
  • Experience briefing complex cyber security principles to all levels of knowledge and skill
  • Knowledge of NIST 800-53
  • Experience with RHEL and Windows Server/Professional
  • Experience with SIEM and cloud technologies including LogRhythm, Splunk, Jira, and Confluence
  • DoD 8570/8140 Certification
  • Experience with responding to cyber incidents from detection through remediation.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $110300.00 - $204900.00
