Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking experienced Cyber Systems Engineers to join the Tampa, FL on-site team. The role emphasizes building secure, multi-domain systems and supporting mission-critical objectives.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree with 0 years of experience; or a Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience.
• US Citizenship is required.
• Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance is required to be considered.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (IASAE II) or higher within six months (CISSP preferred).
• Experience designing, deploying, managing, and upgrading virtualized environments.
• Understanding of systems engineering principles and concepts.
• Ability to work semi-independently with direction from senior leadership.
• Experience in system requirements derivation, architecture, design, integration, and test.

Responsibilities

• Engineer enterprise solutions that align with best practices to support mission critical objectives.
• Participate in regular project design and incremental status meetings.
• Collaborate with teams across the program to discuss, analyze or resolve usability issues.
• Work on 1-3 mid- to large-scale projects concurrently, assigned from program and internal leadership.
• Provide effective communication across multi-functional teams, stakeholders and end users.
• Solve complex problems and mentor junior personnel.
• Automate engineering tasks utilizing scripting and/or orchestration tools.
• Conduct product research and selection on COTS technologies to integrate or upgrade with current IT infrastructure.
• Work with on-premise environments.
• Work with NetApp or similar products; backups, storage provisioning, data protections, and cost estimates.
• Design and configure Windows enterprise architectures (AD, DHCP, GPOs, DNS, LDAP, BitLocker, MECM, MS SQL, Windows Server).
• Work with Cisco/VMware NSX devices; create network diagrams in Visio.
• Design, implement Linux Environments (RHEL, Satellite, Ansible).
• Engineer virtualized environments (vSphere/ESXi, containers, SDN).
• Apply security hardening and automation of repeated tasks.
