Job summary

Northrop Grumman seeks experienced Systems Engineers for on-site work in Tampa, FL. You will design, implement, and secure Windows and Linux enterprise environments, manage virtualization, storage, and network infrastructure, and collaborate across teams on mission-critical projects.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree with 0 years of experience; or a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience
• US Citizenship is required.
• Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance is required to be considered.
• DoD 8570 Certification for IAT Level II or higher or IASAE II within six months of hire
• Experience with designing, deploying, managing, implementing, and upgrading virtualized environments
• Comprehension of systems engineering principles, theories and concepts
• Able to work semi independently with general direction from senior leadership
• Direct experience in systems engineering activities: requirements, architecture, design, integration and test

Responsibilities

• Engineer enterprise solutions that align with best practices to support mission critical objectives.
• Participate in regular project design and incremental status meetings.
• Collaborate with different teams across the program to discuss, analyze or resolve usability issues and work on projects.
• Work on 1-3 mid- to large-scale projects concurrently, assigned from program and internal leadership.
• Provide effective communication across multi-functional teams, stakeholders and end users.
• Solve complex problems and mentor junior personnel.
• Automate engineering tasks utilizing scripting and/or orchestration tools.
• Conduct product research and selection on COTS technologies to integrate or upgrade with current IT infrastructure based on program driven requirements.
• Work with on-premise environments.
• Work with NetApp or similar products. Maintain backup and recovery solutions, storage provisioning, storage management, and implement data protections.
• Design, implement, and/or configure Windows enterprise architectures to include AD, DHCP, GPOs, DNS, LDAP, BitLocker, MS Exchange, MECM, MS SQL, WSUS, Windows OS and Server environments.
• Work with Cisco and/or VMware NSX devices and technologies; create network diagrams in Visio.
• Design, implement, and/or configure Linux Environments (RHEL, Satellite, Ansible).
• Engineer virtualized environments using vSphere/ESXi, storage provisioning, containers, and SDN.
• Employ security hardening, RBAC, and automation of tasks.
