Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking Cyber Systems Engineers to support information systems and network design, operation, and security. On-site, full-time at Edwards AFB, CA, we value a strong security posture and hands-on system integration across lab, test, and mission environments.

Responsibilities include lab infrastructure design, desktop virtualization leadership, and coordination with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline plus 5 years of related engineering experience or Master's with 3 years of related experience.
• Current in-scope U.S. Government Secret clearance with recent investigation or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation Program; must maintain clearance.
• Must obtain SAP clearance before start date; maintaining SAP clearance is a condition of employment.
• Security+ certification (or greater) required.
• Familiarity with security protocols and monitoring tools (Splunk, Nessus, SolarWinds) to detect and respond to incidents.
• Experience with Windows Server/Desktop management including MCM and PowerShell; strong VMware expertise; Active Directory administration.
• Experience with Atlassian, Coverity, and Fortify web applications; performance issue resolution.
• Extensive knowledge of access controls and monitoring tools for security incidents.

Responsibilities

• Design lab infrastructure; deploy, configure, and manage environments.
• Lead desktop virtualization and host system administration.
• Support network and security functions across multiple development environments at various classifications.
• Develop software and automation tools for customer development teams and maintenance.
• Configure HITL testing and simulations; support avionics integration into test environments.
• Collaborate to develop aircraft simulations reflecting operational scenarios.
• Set up and operate Test Stations (MSITS, VSITS) for comprehensive testing.
• Document procedures, results, and best practices for assurance and compliance.
