Job summary
Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Cincinnati, OH, is seeking a Department Manager 3 to lead the NIC division’s offensive cyber engineering team. You will balance people leadership with hands-on technical performance, accruing 50% time on technical work and the rest on staffing, coaching, and program delivery.
The role requires a strong engineering background, multi-discipline leadership, and active security clearances; US citizenship is a must.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software/Computer/Engineering with 12+ years of related experience, or MS with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years.
- 8 years of proven leadership in functional engineering management.
- 5 years of technical management experience.
- Experience leading multi-discipline engineering teams.
- US Citizenship is required; Active Secret clearance required; Top-Secret/SCI eligibility may be required.
Responsibilities
- Lead a department and manage a team across programs and initiatives.
- Staffing, workload forecasting, employee inclusion, engagement, mentoring and career development.
- Coordinate requisitions and hiring-manager responsibilities; develop talent and rotational opportunities.
- Ensure personnel meet technical requirements of supported programs; maintain strong technical performance.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and drive program success.
