Job summary

G2 Ops, Inc. is seeking a Cyber Software Capability Lead and Principal Software Engineer to provide technical leadership across architecture, development, and evolution of software capabilities for the AEGIS portfolio, including SOFIA, MONARCH, SMART and related cybersecurity apps.

This hands-on role requires mentoring, architecture definition, and driving secure, scalable software delivery for DoD customers.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
10+ years of software development experience with leadership/architectural roles.
Experience with modern web-based applications and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of software architecture, APIs, databases, cloud technologies, and secure software development.
Experience integrating multiple data sources into scalable software solutions.
Excellent communication to lead technical discussions with engineers and customers.
DoD or Federal Government program experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead architecture, design, development, integration, deployment, and sustainment of software for the AEGIS portfolio.
Provide technical leadership across frontend, backend, API, database, analytics, cloud integration, and plugin development efforts.
Develop software capabilities supporting cyber analytics, vulnerability assessment, reachability analysis, mission impact assessment, data visualization, digital engineering, and decision support.
Design scalable, maintainable, and secure software architectures that integrate engineering, cybersecurity, and operational data.
Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI, advanced analytics, cloud services, and modern software frameworks.
Mentor software engineers through architecture reviews, code reviews, technical planning, and engineering best practices.
Collaborate with cybersecurity engineers, systems engineers, cloud architects, and customer stakeholders to define technical solutions and implementation strategies.
Support technical proposals, demonstrations, customer engagements, and internal research and development efforts.
