Job summary

Jobrapido is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team remotely, supporting North American operations during East Coast hours. You will fortify security across cloud, endpoint, identity, and OT environments, partnering with cross‑functional teams to implement, monitor and improve defenses.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in cybersecurity, with SIEM/EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, incident response, and Microsoft security tech expertise.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in cybersecurity or security operations.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management and IR.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft security tech (Defender, Sentinel, Intune, Entra ID).
• Experience securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.

Responsibilities

About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team remotely, supporting our North American operations during East Coast hours. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in fortifying our enterprise security posture across multiple environments, including cloud, endpoint, identity, network, and operational technology (OT). You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement, monitor, and improve security measures, ensuring the protection of our digital assets and infrastructure. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of four years of experience in cybersecurity, security engineering, or security operations. Demonstrable expertise with SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management, and incident response is essential. A strong understanding of Microsoft security technologies, including Defender, Sentinel, Intune, and Entra ID, is required, along with experience securing Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. Candidates should have a solid grasp of networking fundamentals, identity and access management (IAM), endpoint security, and cloud security principles. Experience in manufacturing, operational technology (OT), industrial control systems (ICS), or industrial security is considered a plus. Relevant certifications such as Security+, CySA+, AZ-500, SC-200, SC-300, or CISSP will enhance your application, demonstrating your commitment to professional development and expertise in the field.

Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and responding to security alerts, incidents, and threats in real-time to mitigate risks effectively. You will support vulnerability management programs, conducting assessments and coordinating remediation efforts to address identified weaknesses. Administering and supporting Microsoft security technologies will be a core part of your role, ensuring the security and compliance of our cloud and on-premises environments. You will play a key role in securing Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms, implementing best practices for identity and access management, multi-factor authentication (MFA), conditional access, and data protection initiatives. Collaboration with infrastructure, cloud, and manufacturing teams will be vital to enhance our overall security posture, requiring strong communication skills and a proactive approach to security challenges. Additionally, you will stay updated on the latest security trends, tools, and threats to continually improve our security strategies and defenses.
