Responsibilities:

• Monitor technical configurations across high-risk technologies such as Operating Systems, Databases, Middleware Components, and Network Devices to ensure compliance with GIS requirements.
• Interpret GIS baseline requirements into functional policy test cases and support/remediation guidance.
• Ensure full monitoring coverage across all Operating Systems and support partners with technical guidance.
• Add or edit existing policy checks to ensure comprehensive configuration monitoring.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct compliance monitoring leveraging expertise in configuring Operating Systems and Databases.
• Translate baseline requirements into policy check test cases.
• Validate compliance scans weekly and address coverage gaps promptly.
• Provide troubleshooting and technical guidance to address non-compliance.
• Maintain relationships with GIS Policy team and technology partners.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Information Security or configuring servers across various OS (Unix, Linux, Windows, Cloud, Containers).
• At least 2 years of experience in applying configurations to meet compliance requirements or developing compliance monitoring capabilities.
• Experience troubleshooting servers/OS to ensure security compliance.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Critical thinking skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Familiarity with compliance monitoring tools such as Qualys, Bladelogic, Tanium, or others.
• Security Certifications (CISSP, MCSE, RHCE, etc.).
• Experience in designing and deploying configuration monitoring.
• Platform administration experience (Windows & UNIX/Linux).
• Database administration experience (Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc.).
• Data analytics and reporting experience.
