Job summary

Cooley LLP in Seattle seeks a Technology Cyber Security Architect to design and oversee enterprise security across on-prem, hybrid, and AI-enabled environments, aligning with regulatory frameworks and governance.

You will mentor security engineers, lead security reviews, and drive secure AI integrations, with a 7x24 on-call rotation and collaboration with Technology and Innovation teams.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience building and evaluating security controls across on-prem, cloud, and AI-enabled environments.
• Ability to translate business needs into secure technical designs and architectures.
• Experience conducting security reviews for systems, AI/ML platforms, and major tech changes.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and evolving AI regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership in guiding security engineers and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise security architecture across on-prem, hybrid, and AI-enabled environments.
• Define security standards and reference architectures aligned with objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct security architecture reviews for new systems, AI/ML platforms, and major changes.
• Partner with engineering, infrastructure, DevOps, and data teams to embed security, privacy, and governance.
• Design security controls for AI/ML systems and data pipelines; address data leakage and adversarial risks.
• Evaluate and recommend security tools and AI-enabled security technologies.
• Ensure architectures comply with legal, regulatory, and industry frameworks; establish guardrails for responsible AI use.
• Support incident response, forensic investigations, and post-incident improvements; mentor security engineers.
