• Strong knowledge of NIST, FISMA, and cybersecurity principles
• Experience with federal/DoD cybersecurity frameworks and risk management

Responsibilities

• Ensure system documentation reflects current security configurations (hardware, software, data flow, interconnections, ports, protocols, services)
• Perform compliance reviews against EO, OMB Memos, A-130, NIST SP 800-37/53, FIPS 199/200
• Analyze security implementations, identify gaps, recommend improvements
• Assist in drafting SSPs, POA&Ms, ARs, and CSSs
• Research evolving FISMA requirements and provide strategic recommendations
• Maintain and update GRC SharePoint sites and access controls

Education

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field

DoD 8140 compliance and certifications (CASP+CE, Security+, CISSP, or CISM)

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Cyber Security Analyst to join our team supporting the Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC) contract in Quantico, VA. The successful candidate will play a vital role in analyzing cybersecurity packages, ensuring compliance with federal standards, and supporting the achievement of Authority to Operate (ATO) for various systems. The Cyber Security Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, perform risk assessments, and develop strategies to mitigate vulnerabilities, ensuring the integrity and security of critical systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant cybersecurity experience. Alternatively, candidates with five years of experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered. Candidates must demonstrate compliance with DoD 8140 standards at an intermediate or advanced level, holding certifications such as CASP+CE, Security+, CISSP, or CISM. A strong understanding of NIST guidelines, FISMA, and cybersecurity principles is essential. Experience with federal and DoD cybersecurity frameworks, risk management processes, and technical knowledge of IT systems is required. Candidates should also have the ability to work independently, demonstrate analytical thinking, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure system documentation accurately reflects current security configurations, including hardware, software, data flow, interconnections, ports, protocols, and services.
• Perform compliance reviews and analyses to verify adherence to federal requirements such as EO, OMB Memos, A-130, NIST SP 800-37, 800-53, FIPS 199, and FIPS 200.
• Analyze security implementations across assigned systems, identifying gaps and recommending effective solutions to enhance security posture.
• Assist in the preparation and review of essential documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), Authorization Recommendations (ARs), and Cybersecurity Strategies (CSSs).
• Research evolving FISMA requirements and provide strategic recommendations to overcome major obstacles faced by the customer.
• Maintain and update GRC SharePoint sites, including document uploads, page updates, access requests, and permission management to ensure seamless information flow and compliance tracking.
