Job summary

Talentify in San Diego, CA is seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist/Analyst to join the hybrid, full-time team. You will provide security engineering expertise for C5ISR resiliency, reporting to the Cybersecurity Team Lead, and collaborate with engineers and DoD partners.

The role requires a BS in Cybersecurity or related field, 1–5 years of experience, RMF/SCG familiarity, SDR/waveform knowledge, and travel to NSA.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Cybersecurity, Applied Science, Computing, or another related technical discipline.
• 1-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Security Classification Guides (SCG).
• Knowledge of Software Defined Radios (SDRs), waveforms, and RF communications concepts.
• Knowledge of DoD acquisition life cycle management policies and practices is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively on cross-functional teams.
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and in writing.
• Ability to travel to the NSA.

Responsibilities

• Security Analysis: Perform cyber resiliency analysis on SDR waveforms and ensure security requirements are met.
• Technical Support & Collaboration: Support system security engineering and RMF implementation.
• Documentation & Reporting: Develop technical white papers, presentations, and reports.
• Team Engagement: Participate in meetings, reviews, and stakeholder engagements; provide cybersecurity insights.
• Vendor & DoD Liaison: Maintain relationships with external vendors and DoD organizations.
