Job summary

Scale AI in Washington, DC, seeks a Cyber-focused Strategic Projects Lead to oversee high-impact cyber test and evaluation data for government and public sector clients. You will build data labeling pipelines, oversee workflow processes, and ensure data enables mission-critical AI applications.

You will manage COGS, scope engagements with GTM teams, and work with ML experts to design scalable, financially viable programs while delivering high-quality datasets for LLM evaluation and training.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret security clearance.
• Experience in cybersecurity domains such as penetration testing, red/blue teaming, vulnerability assessment, network security, or cyber operations.
• 2–3 years in product development, data science, or operations.
• Proven project management experience with comfort in ambiguity.
• Ability to analyze complex operational data, build queries, and identify trends.
• Knowledge of ML post-training techniques like SFT, RLHF, RLVR.

Responsibilities

• Develop, build, and maintain operations infrastructure for data labeling pipelines.
• Partner with customers to design dataset taxonomies evaluating agents/models or improving model performance.
• Own day-to-day progress on high-priority data production pipelines.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate cyber domain knowledge into scalable processes.
• Scope customer engagements with technical feasibility validation for scalable deals.
• Influence cross-organizational data strategy and ensure data quality and scalability.
• Manage program COGS through planning and tooling decisions.
• Use analytics to track progress and optimize pipeline performance.
• Take ownership of large data delivery components for key customer pipelines.
