You will monitor networks, review alerts, perform basic troubleshooting, and help document incidents while shadowing senior engineers and participating in knowledge-sharing sessions. This internship emphasizes hands-on learning in security operations and customer support.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a four year or advanced degree program at an accredited university.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Interest in cybersecurity, networks and customer-focused service.

Responsibilities

• Monitor network dashboards and alerts for customer environments.
• Acknowledge and escalate critical alerts following SOPs.
• Perform basic troubleshooting for connectivity issues.
• Document incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
• Review and update shift handover notes.
• Monitor firewall/IDS/IPS logs for suspicious activity.
• Assist in reviewing endpoint protection alerts and quarantined items.
• Perform routine vulnerability scans and document findings.
• Support patch management by verifying deployment status.
• Help maintain asset inventory with updated security posture.
• Generate daily/weekly network health and security status reports.
• Maintain documentation for standard procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Log changes in the change management system.
• Complete training on network protocols and cybersecurity basics.
