Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Operations Analyst to support the DoD Cyber Defense Command Center at Ft. Meade, MD.

The role requires TS/SCI clearance and provides 24x7 incident handling, network analysis, and threat detection capabilities within a critical Defense operational environment. Responsibilities include coordinating CND efforts across DoD components, delivering defense-wide situational awareness, and ensuring CNDS operations meet reporting and security requirements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional IT and cyber security experience.
• Experience with network monitoring/SIEM tools (ArcSight, CSAAC, Splunk, PCAP).
• Experience with CNDS providers or working in a CNDSP.
• Technical understanding of TCP/IP, system administration, malware, and CND operations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate CND efforts across DoD components and track/report DCO‑IDM operations.
• Provide IC with PIRs and indications-and-warning needs related to threats.
• Centrally manage/recommend CND operations spanning multiple DoD components.
• Deliver DoD-wide situational awareness and attack sensing by analyzing/integrating data.
• De-conflict VAA and Red Team ops with ongoing CND activities and adjust VAAs as needed.
• Monitor DoDIN for IAVA compliance and assess implications for network defense.
• Develop CNDS education/training curriculum and apply in CNDS certification processes.
• Ensure CNDS providers maintain coordinated information sharing and execute a shared COA.
• Suggest INFOCON changes in response to unauthorized activity to limit damage.
• Maintain expert knowledge of DoD CND, threat lifecycles, vectors, and vulnerabilities.
