Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a SOC Operations Analyst to support the DISA DCDC Cyber Operations Center in Fort Meade, MD. This full-time, onsite role focuses on incident response, threat detection, and network defense within a DoD cyber operations environment.

The ideal candidate will hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance, a DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification, and 4+ years of cybersecurity experience, with hands-on use of ArcSight, Splunk, JIMS, CSAAC, and PCAP analysis to safeguard DoD

Qualifications

Active DoD TS/SCI clearance with eligibility for CI polygraph.
DoD 8570/8140-compliant certification.
4+ years in cybersecurity, network defense, or SOC.
Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field.
Experience in CNDSP or DoD operations environment.
Proficient in monitoring tools ArcSight/Splunk/JIMS/CSAAC.

Responsibilities

Execute real-time cyber operations including incident handling and threat detection.
Lead security incident responses and perform post-breach analysis.
Use SIEM platforms (ArcSight, Splunk, CSAAC, JIMS) to monitor and investigate.
Proactive threat hunting and network traffic analysis.
Coordinate DoD CND operations and provide SITREPs and briefings.
Communicate updates to senior leadership and mission partners.
Support INFOCON readiness and defensive recommendations.
