Job summary

BCMC is seeking a Network Engineer to implement, maintain and support the lab network infrastructure for a U.S. Government customer in Arlington, VA.

You will design, build, and secure networks, configure routers, switches, firewalls, and IP addressing while supporting VPN access and Citrix/VDI environments. Ideal candidates have 5+ years in network administration, US citizenship, DHS suitability, and an active DoD Secret clearance (TS/SCI preferred).

Qualifications

• US citizenship required and ability to obtain DHS suitability.
• Active DoD Secret clearance or higher; TS/SCI preferred.
• 5+ years in network administration or engineering.
• Proficiency with Linux/Unix and MacOS.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Hands-on with Citrix and VMware in lab environments.
• Must collaborate across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain lab network infrastructure.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls and IP schemes.
• Support VPNs and VDI (Citrix/VMware) access for users.
• Monitor performance, enforce security policies, and SOPs.
• Diagnose complex network issues and implement fixes.
• Document network topology and maintain diagrams.
