Job summary

Nightwing Group is seeking a Network Engineer in Arlington, VA to design, implement, and maintain our lab network infrastructure for a U.S. Government client.

You will work on incident response support, network security, and integration of new technologies across multiple platforms including VPNs, VDI, Linux/Unix, and MacOS. Required 5+ years in network administration, DoD clearance (or ability to obtain DHS suitability), and experience with Cisco/Palo Alto equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of directly relevant experience in network administration.
• Proficiency with multiple operating systems including Linux/Unix and MacOS.
• Strong knowledge and experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs.
• Experience with networking and network administration.
• Skilled with virtual desktop environments (Citrix, VMware).
• Able to collaborate across physical locations.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement infrastructure solutions to support mission execution.
• Integrate new technologies and refine SOPs for lab environments.
• Assess topology and device configs, identify vulnerabilities, advise on security best practices.
• Provide user support for VPNs and VDI (Citrix) and MacOS/iOS platforms.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues; maintain backups and security.
• Design, build, and maintain robust network environments with routers, switches, and firewalls.
