Cyber Intel Analyst

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking to hire a Cyber Intel Analyst to join our Indications and Warnings team within the Federal Strategic Cyber group.

Location: Rosslyn, VA.

This role involves supporting Peraton's Department of State (DoS) Diplomatic Security Cyber Mission (DSCM) program, providing cybersecurity expertise to protect global networks, systems, and information, and to identify and respond to cyber threats.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Leverage open-source, proprietary, and classified reports to track advanced persistent threat activity.
• Perform pattern, trend, and behavior analysis to identify malicious cyber activities targeting DOS information and personnel.
• Maintain records to track malicious cyber threat activity.
• Identify Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) using SIEM and other security tools.
• Liaise with the Intelligence Community (IC).
• Act as the fusion analysis cell within the Cyber Threat Analysis Division (CTAD).
• Provide presentations on cyber threats to diverse audiences.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 10%.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of experience, or 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Possess one of the following certifications: CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, CISSP, Security+ CE, CySA+, PPDA, Agile IC, or SNOW App Dev.
• Experience with Splunk SIEM.
• Experience with threat models such as MITRE ATT&CK, Lockheed Martin Kill Chain, or Diamond Model.
• Knowledge of tracking APTs and pivoting from IOCs to infrastructure.
• Strong written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and in teams.
• Active U.S. Passport and ability to travel up to two weeks domestically and abroad.
• U.S. citizenship and active Top Secret security clearance, with the ability to obtain SCI clearance.
