Job summary

Node.Digital in Arlington, VA seeks a Cyber Shift Incident Manager (Junior) to provide onsite incident response support for a government customer. The role requires an active TS/SCI clearance, U.S. citizenship, and shift coverage (Shift 2, M-F 1400-2200).

Responsibilities include correlating incident data, triage, mitigation research, and coordinating with internal teams to resolve incidents across large IT networks.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance is required.
• 2+ years of directly relevant experience in cyber incident management or cybersecurity operations.
• Knowledge of incident response methodologies.
• Familiarity with NIST 800-62 and FISMA reporting requirements.
• Knowledge of the NCCIC National Cyber Incident Scoring System and incident triage.
• Understanding of common attack stages and vulnerabilities.
• Ability to categorize vulnerabilities and related attacks.
• Knowledge of basic system administration and OS hardening practices.

Responsibilities

• Correlate incident data to identify trends.
• Recommend defense in depth principles and practices.
• Perform CND incident triage to determine scope, urgency and impact.
• Research known resolution steps to mitigate CND incidents.
• Apply cybersecurity concepts to detect and defend intrusions and analyze logs.
• Monitor external data sources to stay current on threats.
• Identify incident causes and gather background for investigation vectors.
• Receive and analyze network alerts and coordinate with teams.
• Track CND incidents from detection to final resolution with stakeholders.
