Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and bar admission in good standing.
• 3+ years of legal experience with a focus on data privacy and security.
• Strong knowledge of data breach and privacy laws (State Laws, HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, GDPR, etc.).
• Excellent research, writing, and communication skills (Lexis and Westlaw).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents.
• Analyze state, federal, and international data breach and privacy laws.
• Draft breach notices to individuals and regulators.
• Respond to regulatory investigations arising from data breaches.
• Oversee forensics investigations and third party vendors for e‑Discovery and notice projects.
• Advise clients on legal notification obligations under State/Federal laws.
• Draft crisis communications for clients and reports to insurers.
