Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Bar admission in good standing in the applicable jurisdiction.
• 3+ years of legal experience in data privacy and security.
• Experience with data breach notification and incident response.
• Knowledge of state, federal, and international privacy laws (HIPAA, GLBA, FERPA, CCPA, GDPR).
• Excellent written and oral communication, and research skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with strong collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Incident response for cybersecurity and data privacy incidents.
• Analyze state, federal, and international data breach and privacy laws.
• Draft breach notices to individuals and regulators.
• Respond to regulatory investigations arising from breaches.
• Oversee forensics investigations.
• Supervise third-party vendors for e-Discovery and notice projects.
• Advise clients on legal notification obligations under applicable laws.
• Prepare breach notification letters and crisis communications.
