Job summary

Leidos is seeking an experienced Systems Security Analyst to support an Air Force CSSP mission. The role focuses on assessing system security controls, mitigating deficiencies, and providing cybersecurity recommendations to Government and technical stakeholders.

The successful candidate will apply cybersecurity, information assurance, and risk-management principles to evaluate security, maintain documentation, and ensure appropriate controls are in place and operating effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity or related field.
• 3+ years of relevant cybersecurity experience.
• Current Top Secret/SCI clearance with ability to obtain higher read-ins.
• Must meet DoD 8140 / DCWF Work Role 511 Cyber Defense Analyst / IAT Level II.
• Knowledge of encryption technologies and security principles.
• Understanding of PKI, firewalls, and network security concepts.

Responsibilities

• Assess effectiveness of system security controls and posture.
• Apply security policies to meet objectives and ensure compliance.
• Analyze security trends and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Develop procedures and support testing of failover and alternate-site operations.
• Maintain documentation of system security implementations and operations.
• Evaluate security products and compensating controls to reduce risk.
• Implement access controls based on least privilege and need-to-know.
• Support remediation and risk acceptance discussions with Government representatives.
• Verify minimum security requirements for applications and systems.
