Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Cybersecurity Systems Engineer to support a complex Information Assurance program. You will help ensure security, performance, and compliance for mission-critical systems, influencing design and risk reduction.

Requirements include 8+ years in Systems Engineering, a related bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience), expertise in IA/cryptographic systems, and an active TS/SCI with polygraph. DoD C&A experience and space systems exposure are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or five extra years of systems engineering experience.
• 8+ years of Systems Engineering experience with IA/cryptographic focus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience leading small technical teams.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
• Direct DoD C&A experience and space systems exposure.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to development and evaluation of systems engineering docs.
• Provide technical leadership across development, integration and testing.
• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis, and allocation.
• Conduct systems requirements reviews and assessments.
• Support planning and test analysis for DoD C&A processes.
• Perform high-assurance cybersecurity evaluation during certification.
• Review security artifacts for compliance with requirements.
• Document deficiencies and provide actionable mitigation guidance.
• Translate vulnerability insights into practical risk guidance.
• Collaborate across teams in security-focused reviews.
