Job summary

Leidos, a leading defense, intelligence, and technology company, is seeking motivated cybersecurity students for our Summer 2027 Internship Program in Whitehall, OH. As a Cybersecurity Analyst Intern, you will join our Digital Sector on the GSM-O II contract, gaining hands-on experience protecting the Defense Information System Network (DISN) in support of DISA.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship and eligibility for DoD clearance.
• Pursuing degree in Cybersecurity, CS, CE, or IT.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP, OSI model, and defense-in-depth.
• Knowledge of Cyber Kill Chain and MITRE ATT&CK.
• Analytical mindset with good written and verbal communication.
• On-site at Whitehall, OH with reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Triage and analyze security alerts from SIEM, IDS/IPS, and NetFlow.
• Assist with network traffic analysis and correlating security events.
• Shadow incident response and containment, eradication, and recovery.
• Review open-source threat intel and IOCs to improve detection.
• Analyze potential incidents by examining network connections and logs.
• Create clear incident reports and documentation for leadership.
