Job summary

Deloitte & Touche LLP invites an experienced Cyber Data Protection Manager to help leading organizations reduce cyber risk and protect critical data. You will design and operate data protection solutions, mentor teams, and lead client engagements across technology and governance areas.

Preferred candidates bring deep data protection expertise, cloud security experience, and strong leadership with regulatory awareness. 25–50% travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional experience in data protection and information security, including data discovery, classification, and rights management
• 3+ years designing data protection strategies, roadmaps and frameworks
• Experience with Microsoft Purview and related data security capabilities
• Familiarity with cloud security and modern data platforms
• Experience leading cross-functional teams including IT, legal/compliance and executives
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCSP or AWS Security Specialty
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Engineering, CS or related field
• Ability to travel 25-50% on average
• Limited Sponsorship may be offered.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME and trusted advisor on data protection needs in response to risks
• Design, implement, and operate data protection solutions for clients
• Lead engagements and manage timelines, budgets, and senior stakeholder communications
• Mentor junior staff and drive professional growth
• Manage proposal development processes and contribute to thought leadership
• Foster inclusive, high-performing teams and stay current on industry trends
