Job summary

Deloitte is seeking a Cyber Data Protection Senior Consultant to help clients reduce cyber risk, protect critical data, and build resilient security programs.

You will lead data protection engagements, guide architecture and implementation, and mentor junior staff while staying ahead of evolving threats and AI governance. This role offers opportunities to shape outcomes for large, multi‑year client programs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in data protection and information security, including DCRM, DRM, IRM, DAG, DLP, CASB, and DSPM.
• 2+ years designing and operating data protections services and strategies.
• 2+ years hands-on technical or architecture experience with two+ data protection techs.
• Hands-on with Purview, Cyera, Securiti.ai, Varonis and related data security tools.
• Knowledge of AI security and governance for generative AI scenarios.
• Experience defining use cases and documenting requirements.
• Experience working with IT, legal/compliance and executives.
• Experience with senior leadership communications in consulting.
• Familiarity with change management and deployment in large IT orgs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity/IS/Engineering/CS/IT.
• Ability to travel 25-50% on average.
• Limited sponsorship may be available.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a subject matter expert to assess data protection needs and risks.
• Assist clients in designing, implementing and operating data protection solutions.
• Assist clients with developing requirements, evaluating vendor solutions, and architecture.
• Lead client engagements and drive results with clear communication to clients and leadership.
• Mentor and coach junior staff to develop skills and opportunities.
• Manage and lead the proposal development process.
• Contribute to Deloitte’s thought leadership in client organizations.
• Foster an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.
• Stay current on industry trends in cyber risk, data protection, and emerging technologies.
