Job summary

OpenAI in San Francisco seeks a Cyber Applied AI Architect Manager to lead a team of customer-facing architects. You will guide architectural design, engage with security executives, and drive AI-enabled solutions using OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, and agentic workflows.

You will stay hands-on as you translate customer needs into production-grade implementations, address escalations, and ensure secure, scalable delivery across engagements.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading customer-facing tech teams and delivering complex AI solutions.
• Strong background in cybersecurity and secure software practices.
• Experience designing AI-enabled architectures using OpenAI tech.

Responsibilities

• Hire, coach, and develop a team of Cyber Applied AI Architects.
• Lead technical discovery with executives, engineers, and architects.
• Partner with Sales and Solutions Engineering on AI solutions and PoCs.
• Translate customer requirements into scalable architectures and milestones.
• Oversee pre-sales to production deployment and adoption.
